Stressful Day for Man on Hood of Car

On January 28, 2019, the news shared the bizarre story of a crazy guy driving 70 miles an hour on the interstate in Massachusetts—with a man on the hood of his car!

After three miles, with the man on the hood shouting to stop, the driver stopped with the assistance of other drivers on the road. The man on the hood, Richard Kamrowski, and the driver of the SUV, 37-year-old Mark Fitzgerald, were involved in a minor sideswipe and had pulled over to exchange information, Fox News reported. When the men got into an argument, Fitzgerald began to drive away. That’s when Kamrowski, who was standing in front of the vehicle, jumped on the hood of Fitzgerald’s SUV. I highly recommend anyone going on-line and watching this video, as someone caught it on their cellphone. It’s totally insane!

Drivers who engage in road rage vent their stress and frustration and cause physical harm to self and others. If you swear, give sign language, shake your fist, and scream at those who cut in front of you or give you bad sign language, then take a deep breath before responding. In fact, don’t respond at all unless you want to pray a blessing over that person, who apparently isn’t having a good day. Why make your blood pressure go through the roof? I recommend a very good on-line article by Yagana Shah in the Huffington Post called “The Surprising Link between Road Rage and How Long You’ll Live.” People with road rage truly have anger and inner issues that have never been resolved. Expect them and learn to just shake your head, smile, and move on. Don’t let them rule or ruin your day.

I have never thought of stress on the highway going to this extent. It could have been totally avoided. Thank goodness Kamrowski was not killed. Don’t allow crazy drivers or road rage trigger any stress in your life today. It’s not worth it.
