Do You Like Dark Chocolate?
Updated: Jul 13, 2021

Have you ever wondered about the benefits of dark chocolate? Just look at what you will find in a 100-gram bar of dark chocolate with 70–85% cacao:
11 grams of fiber
67% of the RDI for iron
58% of the RDI for magnesium
89% of the RDI for copper
98% of the RDI for manganese
It also has plenty of potassium, phosphorus, zinc, and selenium.
As much as I love dark chocolate, I don’t think I could consume 100 grams (3.5 ounces) at once. But know that when you do eat it, it’s choc-full of health benefits. As stated in other blogs, when you eat chocolate that is 65%-70% or more cacao, your brain chemistry will change with the release of endorphins. Remember it’s the feel-good hormone!
This blog involves a dark chocolate from Equal Exchange Chocolates. Not only do they produce chocolate but also teas, coffee, and other foods.
They are worker-owned and were formed with this mindset:
* A social change organization that would help farmers and their families gain more control over their economic futures.
*A group that would educate consumers about trade issues affecting farmers.
*A provider of high-quality foods that would nourish the body and the soul.
*A company that would be controlled by the people who did the actual work.
*A community of dedicated individuals who believed that honesty, respect, and mutual benefit are integral to any worthwhile endeavor.
I had the mint crunch 67% dark chocolate and 80% Panama extra dark chocolate. Both were very delicious! You can find their chocolate at most grocery or health stores or at equalexchange.coop
